Muséu del Pueblu d’Asturies is an ethnographic museum in Gijon founded in 1968 in order to preserve and spread the history of the Asturian people. The collections made up of extensive collections of ethnography, photography, documentation and musical instruments. There are as well as testimonies of oral tradition: songs, legends, stories … The visitors can find in the grounds of this museum different types of typical Asturian rural buildings, a wetland and the Museum of the Bagpipe (Museo de la Gaita). There is a FREE guided tour of the museum (Spanish) on Sunday 21st April from 12:00 to 14:00.
