A centenary Asturian church becomes the Kaos Temple!

The centenary church of Santa Barbara from 1912 converted into the Kaos Temple by artist Okuda This unique example of contemporary urban art play with geometric figures full of color. The Kaos Temple is only 25 kilometers from Gijon. It is located very near to Oviedo, the capital of Asturias in northern Spain. While the building looks like a regular church from the outside, do not be fooled by the appearance. Get ready for a treat!

Okuda San Miguel is a renowned Spanish street artist with international exhibitions around the world. His urban art characterizes by geometric forms with bright colors. He started this project as a crowdfunding initiative in 2014 with the collective Church Brigade. The project completed in 2015. They aimed to transform this church into a “skate church.” It offers skaters a space to practice staking in a remarkable skatepark.
